Welcome to information on Ashanti Scout Troop!

We have a varied programme – cooking over open fires (some of it edible!), swimming, pottery, walks, cycle hikes, training, badge work… too much to mention here!  There are also Romsey District activities which can include 1st Aid weekends, night hikes, camping competitions, to name a few.

Scouts are aged between 10½ and 14.  At this age, we encourage Scouts to take responsibility for themselves and each other, with older members leading a small team. They like being with friends and participating fully in the adventure of life.

Its all about Badges (At Home)…

March 27th, 2020

Although face to face ‘scouting’ is currently suspended our beavers, cubs and scouts can work towards their badges from home.

We want to support you as much as we can over the next few weeks and so as well as the Great Indoors initative our young people can also compleye their badges from home.

It is simple, to find out what badges your child can complete,

Login into Online Scout Manager (OSM), select badges (all the available badges will be shown as well as their progress through them)

Found a badge that interests them, then just click on it and it’ll show what they need to do to complete it.

If you click on Complete At Home, this takes you through the steps you need to take.

Once you are ready, then you just need to upload the Evidence

Addtional information can be found at ALL ABOUT BADGES on the main Scouting website, or use the comments section at the bottom of the page to talk with your group leader.

PLEASE AT ANY TIME contact your leader for advice. We are here to help.

(If you need reminding of your access details to OSM we can do that too).
