Welcome to information on Kumasi Cub Pack!

Kumasi Pack was re-started in March 2011. They have a varied programme for children aged 8 to 10½ years, including visits from local people, District Scouting Leaders, local police.

The strong, motivated, young Leadership team run a fun packed programme for the Cubs.  Cubs meet weekly, do activities with the Scout Troop, take part in District activities and camp.  Also activities including cooking, camping, scouting skills, games, 1st Aid, craft; all whilst having lots of fun!

We have a Cub Scout Leader and an Assistant, however we are always happy to hear from any adult willing to help in this section please get in contact.

The Pack is well represented at Romsey St George’s Day Parade, Braishfield Remembrance Day Parade, holds a summer tea party for the pensioners and are always willing to help out at local events.

Cubs from Kumasi Pack are automatically given a place at Ashanti Troop, the Group’s Scout Troop, around the time they turn 10½.

Cub Scouts enjoy new adventures while making new friends along the way. Their commitment is recognised by over thirty activity badges. As well as regular weekly meeting, Cub Scouts also enjoy activity days, weekend camps and pack holidays.

Jean Beauchamp MBE

January 22nd, 2018

Cubs were very excited to hear that Jean Beauchamp, who assists on Pack nights, was awarded an MBE in the New Year Honor’s list for her services to young people in Lockerley.

The long-serving Scout stalwart called time on nearly half a century with Lockerley Cub Scouts in 2013, but has remained working as a Romsey District Cub Scout leader. Jean was chairman of Lockerley Scout Group from 1972-1976 and she was the driving force behind fundraising for the Scout HQ at Lockerley, which was opened by Lord Mountbatten in 1976.

We are very lucky that Jean now spends some of her time helping with our Pack!
