Welcome to information on Kumasi Cub Pack!

Kumasi Pack was re-started in March 2011. They have a varied programme for children aged 8 to 10½ years, including visits from local people, District Scouting Leaders, local police.

The strong, motivated, young Leadership team run a fun packed programme for the Cubs.  Cubs meet weekly, do activities with the Scout Troop, take part in District activities and camp.  Also activities including cooking, camping, scouting skills, games, 1st Aid, craft; all whilst having lots of fun!

We have a Cub Scout Leader and an Assistant, however we are always happy to hear from any adult willing to help in this section please get in contact.

The Pack is well represented at Romsey St George’s Day Parade, Braishfield Remembrance Day Parade, holds a summer tea party for the pensioners and are always willing to help out at local events.

Cubs from Kumasi Pack are automatically given a place at Ashanti Troop, the Group’s Scout Troop, around the time they turn 10½.

Cub Scouts enjoy new adventures while making new friends along the way. Their commitment is recognised by over thirty activity badges. As well as regular weekly meeting, Cub Scouts also enjoy activity days, weekend camps and pack holidays.

Cubs racing at Goodwood!

September 25th, 2017

Well done to the four Cubs who represented our Pack at Goodwood today in the Supreme Karting Championships 10th year! 3rd Romsey have taken past for the past three years.
A team should consist of six Cubs, but our four boys worked like Trojans today, resting for one race before they were back on the track.
I am hugely proud of each of them for their determination, team work and ability to keep smiling, as well as their respectfulness for other Packs.
Massive thanks also to James Laffeaty who, once again, prepared the kart to pass scrutineering where very rigorous rules have to be adhered to and transporting the kart to Goodwood, allowing the Cubs to take part in the fun bit – racing!!
Many thanks to Michelle and Jane for bringing their Cubs along and becoming fully involved in the sport of the day – including putting up and taking down tents!

Well done Jack, George, Isaac and Lewie!

Congratulations & celebrations!

Congratulations to Bagheera who was married to Sarah on the weekend.  We wish you a very long and happy life together with many shared activities – lovely to see the Scout and Guide movement liaising so closely!  Thank you for inviting us to help you celebrate, it was a fabulous day.  Some photos of the happy day (we don’t always wear uniform!) – fav photo?  The last one of the night when Bagheera & Mrs Bagheera both managed to photobomb us!
