What we do

Scouting is not just about our section evenings, it is also about being part of a larger family of Scouts – at group, district, county, national and even international levels.

At group level we get together for VIP Senior Citizens Party, the Annual Review (where we celebrate our year) and a group fun day.  The Beavers, Cubs and Scouts also get together on camps, sleepovers and shared evenings; however parents aren’t left out. Each year we try to ensure one social event for any parent who would like to come along – with the by product of raising funds for the Group.

Romsey District hold events for each section, from Beaver Fun Days, Cub Sixer Challenges to Digger’s Activity Day for the Scouts.  There are also District Camps to mark special occasions and we can be found at Romsey Show & the Mayor’s Picnic in the Memorial Park.

International opportunities are offered at Romsey, Hampshire and at national levels.  Romsey Explorers visit Switzerland every 3-4 years, this is interspersed with Hampshire Expeditions and World Jamborees.

Once in the Scout movement – the world really is your oyster.
